What is Independent Study?
The California Education Code provides for the option of non-institutional study programs.
Although this provision is specifically designated for public schools, many private schools have chosen to offer this option in order to allow home educating families to come under their program.
Parents can receive the benefits of being enrolled in a private school, while maintaining the independence they desire.
